Reo Raymond was inspired after seeing an MC host a show at the Sadashivnagar Club in Bangalore. He pondered after the show and started to believe that he could be an MC too. While studying in college, Reo used his free time to earn pocket money by organizing events and promotions. During one of these promotions he observed the MC at the show and started to think that he could give a shot at this career. Reo was thoroughly convinced that he had found his calling. His inner-circle started to see sparks of talent and charisma that Reo displayed while he hosted his first few events. Reo never away took to the stage during his school days. He shied from the microphone and admitted that once in school he stammered and fumbled when he was put in the spotlight.

Reo was famous in school for his achievements in sports – football in particular. He has his own video blog called “Footie Fever”, which he has started to showcase and promote young and talented players from the country and also bring to light the problems the sport faces. “Football is very popular in India, but there isn’t much support or finance given to the sport. Through Footie Fever, I want to highlight the reactions and opinions of players, who played for the nation and popular clubs so that there could be more attention given to the sport that has unbelievable potential.”

Reo admits that his initial days as an MC was a struggle and it took him time to get recognized by people. But, eventually his belief and love for this profession got him the fame and popularity, which landed him the job of MC of Bangalore Football Club. Reo was influenced by 3 big personalities, who have a global reputation. “Well, Sharukh Khan has proved to the world that everyone has a chance at life if they put in the hours. He has taught us many life lessons and given us all a reason to believe. Rahul Dravid is another favorite of mine just for the wonderful human being he is, besides all his other achievements. Ronaldinho is my number one. Everything about him: humility, grace, skill and passion – he’s my hero.”

The future looks bright for this young MC. “I want to be the ‘Lalit Modi’ of Indian Football. I also admire Ryan Seacrest and I would love to contribute as much as he has to the world of radio,” says Reo on his future ambitions and goals. Reo believes strongly in one principle that is “live for today”. He takes each day as it comes and his advice to all youngsters is “If you believe you’ve got the skill – stick to it till it becomes your career.”
