Kevin’s chemistry with music began when his teacher asked him to sing in front of his class. From a very young age, Kevin watched classic musical movies such as The Lion King and The Wizard of Oz. Initially it were the soundtracks in these movies that attracted Kevin to music. As he grew older, he was introduced to the “Rock n Roll” genre and the spark just took off from there. “Music is an art-form that has positively impacted my life. Whether, I’m sad, happy or tensed, I gather my emotions and let it flow in a direction that brings out the best in me.”

Kevin began his career by teaching in Bombay, where he also simultaneously worked as a Recording Engineer. Currently, he teaches at the Auro Mirra International School, which has been an extremely fulfilling experience for him. “Teaching students is my deepest passion. It’s overwhelming to see how my students take interest in my lessons and learn from me. There was this one-day when my students surprised me by learning the song before I could even teach them the lyrics. It’s small moments like these that make my day as a teacher and a performer.”

I thoroughly enjoy my work as a teacher and a music producer. I can never imagine working at a desk and typing on a computer. It’s just not who I am. I believe that I was born to sing and perform.”

Kevin never thought of pursuing any other career other than music. “I thoroughly enjoy my work as a teacher and a music producer. I can never imagine working at a desk and typing on a computer. It’s just not who I am. I believe that I was born to sing and perform.” Kevin wants to achieve as much as he can in the world of music. He believes that there is no restriction in terms of achievement in the industry. “Every performance of mine or every lesson that I teach has to be fueled with passion and charisma, as if it were my last. My aim is to have a big impact on the minds of young and talented musicians in the country. I want to see them get better every time I teach them something new.”

“Music is a field that you can learn and improvise each day. It’s hard to be satisfied as a musician, because in my opinion I believe I can become better with each performance. Also it’s a driving force for me to push myself to new limits and achieve greater things in this field,” Kevin says about his journey so far. Kevin’s advice for young musicians is to do what it takes to get there no matter how hard the journey is. His journey as a teacher and performer has inspired many young talents in the country. “At the moment, I’m just riding the magic carpet, and I will leave it to fate to take me to the land of promise and magic.”
