Coming from a family of highly educated achievers is a woman of who makes accomplishing any task, however hard, seem like a walk in the park. Jinnie Gogia Chugh herself is a lecturer, author, brand ambassador of #FitIndia, international athlete and a mother of a nine year old. A beauty with brains and brawn, she makes it all work together while also managing a happy family.
She was like any one of us, dealing with the struggle to maintain a moderately fit body while handling other responsibilities also, including motherhood. She wasn’t clued into any of the things that are part of following a strict fitness regimen like gym, physique, diet and training. But with sheer confidence she took the leap from an ordinary life to an extraordinary one, turning into a professional fitness enthusiast. And today she is the face of a major health campaign in India.
The health and fitness issues in the country are currently not in a very appreciable state, and this campaign is the need of the hour.”
#FitIndia is one of the biggest and the most coveted campaigns to spread awareness about fitness, with the primary aim to make India a fit nation. An initiative by GLANBIA, it is a pan India campaign that hopes to reach 1 billion. Jinnie feels strongly about this campaign, saying, “The health and fitness issues in the country are currently not in a very appreciable state, and this campaign is the need of the hour.” Jinnie has influenced a lot of people with her thinking and fitness journey, making her the right person to be the brand ambassador for this campaign. A campaign impactful enough to grab the attention and support of the Minister of Health and Family, Mr. JP Nadda.
What more does this dynamic lady have under her belt? She has authored over 21 books including one on fitness, she has represented India internationally thrice in the physique sports category. And now her crowning moment, duly deserved, being the face of the #FitIndia Campaign.
The journey for me has been very tough with a few untoward and absolutely de-motivating situations. However, it was a learning experience. Life is about learning. There isn’t much use talking about such things.”
Jinnie has had her share of falls and disappointments but she prefers not to focus on them. She says, “The journey for me has been very tough with a few untoward and absolutely de-motivating situations. However, it was a learning experience. Life is about learning. There isn’t much use talking about such things.”
Talking about the intense competition she faces in the fitness world, where each person is unique in their talent and approach to fitness, Jinnie says, “Each individual is unique, and we have to work extremely hard in this line. This line also requires immense dedication and commitment. We have to continually keep working hard to outdo our own selves and make a better version of ourselves.”
An avid reader and keen learner, this vivacious lady, is currently pursuing a three year program on Naturopathy. This, after earning three post graduate degrees: in English, Education, and Business Administration. Explaining her constant quest for knowledge, Jinnie says, “I strongly believe that we need to enhance ourselves and continue to gain knowledge as much as possible. It enriches us as a person to a great extent.” With all the opportunities that her education has afforded her, Jinni advises others to give utmost importance to education, and firmly believes that it never goes to waste and only strengthens one in every way.
We have to continually keep working hard to outdo our own selves and make a better version of ourselves.”
As a strong believer of destiny, she encourages one to not get disheartened and go with the flow; and believe that a higher power has a secret plan awaiting you. With destiny leading her to bigger opportunities; and her family by her side, especially her little daughter who encourages and understands her journey completely, Jinnie found her true calling in Writing and Fitness. As of now she wishes to take her knowledge and spread the importance of good health and nutrition at an international level.
Nothing is easy. It requires a lot of effort, but if the effort is in the right direction, then just keep working hard, it will give you a lot of strength.”
Jinnie embarked on her fitness journey only recently, but that doesn’t come in the way of doing her work with unwavering confidence. With tremendous knowledge gained from her educational and life experiences, she gives sound advice to those feeling unsteady on their feet, “Nothing is easy. It requires a lot of effort, but if the effort is in the right direction, then just keep working hard, it will give you a lot of strength.” She further says that it is negativity that ruins one’s confidence and will to achieve something, and that not doing what makes you happy will only give your life a form of listlessness and unhappiness.
Jinnie Gogia Chugh a go-getter, a proud, strong willed woman with the soft heart of a mother. A beautiful combination of a person who makes you believe in the unimaginable. Set your mind and heart on something, and make it happen, just like she did.
