Flying on a private jet might be more accessible than you think; all thanks to Kanika Tekriwal, founder of ‘JetSetGo’, a premium private jet booking service. Describing the unique service she offers, Kanika says, “As the Uber of the skies and an aggregation platform, JetSetGo provides Indian charter customers for the first time the choice, transparency, and flexibility to book a private jet online on both web and mobile platforms.”

Having worked in the aviation industry since she was merely 17 years of age, Kanika has grown with the industry in more ways than one. She has accumulated flying experience in India and the UK. Talking about private air travel Kanika says, “Thoughts that come to mind when imagining flying in a private jet are probably mixed, ranging from a luxurious mode of travel available at the beck and call of only the ultra-rich, to a means of travel that enhances agility and efficiency for corporate travel in an ever complex world.” But, according to her, private air travel serves as more than a luxurious way to commute for the super wealthy. She adds, “Not many appreciate the important role it plays in connecting locations that are still not served or economical to do so by commercial airlines.” The idea behind founding JetSetGo was to overcome the current issues plaguing the aviation business, including lack of transparency, high prices charged by operators, poor service, high costs for operators, etc. Kanika says, “We saw the darker and more difficult side to the general aviation business in India.” With the support of technology, Jet Set Go provides a host of benefits to customers that drastically improve their chartered air travel experience.
Entrepreneurship takes its toll on you and is definitely not for the weak hearted.”
Surviving and thriving in a tough and complex industry like aviation takes a will of steel. Kanika’s days start at 5 am and end at 2 am. She says, “I’ve lost friends and missed important family occasions. I don’t remember having one single weekend off.” On such days, there are brief moments when she questions the worth of such a career, and even wishes to quit. But, no person has succeeded without experiencing these fleeting moments of self-doubt. Nonetheless, she trudges on, saying, “There could be nothing better than this. Entrepreneurship takes its toll on you and is definitely not for the weak hearted.”
A spirited businesswoman, Kanisha says, “I like building businesses – planes or ships, I am pretty sure I would be good at running either. JetSetGo was first, because I am very passionate about planes.”
It comes as no surprise that Kanika, who is breaking the glass ceiling in a traditionally male occupied industry, is looking to dominate the world with JetSetGo. Given her gritty nature, we are certain her dreams will come true sooner, rather than later.
Bold and feisty, Kanika advises, “Use every ‘No’ as a stepping stone to success; turn every ‘No’ into a ‘Yes’ through your journey.”
Kanika Tekriwal is not one to shy away from hardships. Every challenge is an opportunity to become better. Don’t let tough situations dissuade you from going after your dreams, let them motivate you to work harder instead.
