India today is a growing hub for start-ups, and to promote young entrepreneurs all over the country, Under 25, a Bangalore based start-up, was bootstrapped together to give a platform for entrepreneurs to come together and advice many of us lost ones or just sharing their highs and lows of making their start-up a success. The founders of Under 25, Shreyans Jain and Anto Philip, are personifications of the bursting energy of the Indian youth today and the promise they hold for the nation’s progress. Talking of the motivation behind the foundation of their start-up, Shreyans says, “We started the Under 25 Club with the primary goal of creating a platform for youngsters where creative folks from all walks of life could come and network, get inspired and have a good time while they were at it. We wanted to create something that youngsters could call their own with the intention of bringing the country’s potential to the forefront.”

Today the Under 25 summit has turned into a very popular and one of the most anticipated festivals for the youth. So much so, that it is now organised regularly in all our major cities, while the founders are planning to spread the convention to further 29 smaller tier 2 and 3 cities in India. “The idea though is to eventually create a global platform for creative youngsters in every format and channel that they consume information in. Lots more confidential, ambitious and game-changing projects in the pipeline.”
Speaking about the other aspects of Under 25, Anto says, “We also build youth related content, work with brands to create youth specific engagements and also working on the alternative education space. So yes, we run the Under 25 Club full time and we do more than just the Under 25 Summit in essence.” Essentially turning the platform into an umbrella for three spaces, live events, contents and education.

Shreyans and Anto started from scratch using their own funds. Though the Under 25 Club is only a team of 15 they have put in exponential hard work to make it seem as prolific as a comic-con. The entrepreneurs consider themselves diverse individuals who have specialized skills that benefit their business: their love to be Jack of all trades. Enjoying dipping their hands in different departments of their work, Shreyans says, “Anto enjoys the design category because he has an eye for good design and admires the change it is bringing across the country today. I enjoy the food and music categories because there is just so much potential out there in each of these spaces and these two things make me the happiest.”
As a team, they feel that they have come a long way in establishing their start-up. They say they have made multiple mistakes along the way but have always picked up and learned from them. It is perhaps Shreyans Jain and Anto Philip unbounded energy that bursts through every convention, combined with the their focus to make it possible even when it seems impossible, turns the young crowd of the country towards this hip and happening Under 25.
