Our inspiration for starting HomeNote rose from the sad truth that nobody can find the time or motivation nowadays to learn an instrument that they’ve always loved.”
The Conception of HomeNote
The founders of this amazing and revolutionary website dedicated HomeNote to all music lovers out there. Neville and Natasha recently opened up about what they do and why they do it, in an interview. Neville says, “Our inspiration for starting HomeNote rose from the sad truth that nobody can find the time or motivation nowadays to learn an instrument that they’ve always loved.” HomeNote however eliminates all possible reasons and excuses by allowing people to log in from their homes at a time of their convenience. They can even pick the teacher of their choice. So the customer could have his guitar lesson at 10 o clock in the night taken by a teacher all the way across the globe.
HomeNote has given us more purpose and its opened us to the startup world and the world of musicians around.”
HomeNote also aims at helping out struggling musicians who want to make a living out of what they love doing the most, instead of just doing it as a hobby. It allows music teachers to earn a steady income from teaching music to others as well as share their love for music with the whole world. For Neville, music was always his calling from a very young age. At just 14, he started singing in front of live audiences and took great joy in the way he could touch people with his music.
What Does the Future Hold for HomeNote?
To Neville, music is the best way to express one’s emotions and feelings. Music can change moods, drive people and help them emote. He sees a great future for HomeNote with the potential for it to become ‘the online arm of a music school’. An integrated platform of a built-in personal calendar, student and teacher dashboards, video conferencing, smart payment gateways and many other cool features. He and Natasha plan on upgrading HomeNote by adding prerecorded video tutorials and important information on music for the teachers and students.
