This is why Twinkle Singh founded the company FreQuip.com; an online platform that helps in furnishing houses by providing furniture and home appliances on a monthly rental basis. Twinkle says, “It is a solution for the pain that almost every working bachelor staying away from home experiences.” After being founded in April 2016, FreQuip got their first round of seed investment in only six months, and since then the company’s month on month average growth in terms of revenue has been at a staggering rate of 50%.

Infuriated and disappointed
Infuriated by the tedious task of home furnishing, and disappointed with the extravagant prices that furnished houses charged, Twinkle along with her business partners, Nitesh Kumar and Kaish Mangal wanted to create a solution for this problem, hence, FreQuip was born. When the entrepreneurs shifted to Gurgaon for their jobs, they began hunting for houses to stay in. What they observed was an overwhelming difference in prices between unfurnished and fully furnished houses. And, to their surprise, the trio chose a fully furnished house and ended up spending a small fortune on it. Realizing that many other people spend a lot on furnishing as well, they conceptualized, researched and executed the plan to start-up FreQuip.

Pressure is what creates diamonds
Although FreQuip is a solution that thousands of people can benefit from, Twinkle says that there were hardships while building their business. The journey of entrepreneurship is filled with hardships says the innovative business woman, and goes on to say, “Entrepreneurship requires you to keep calm and focus even in the situations where things don’t work out as planned.” Since their business model is capital intensive, the team had a difficult time in building inventory and maintaining a consistent supply of products. Twinkle says that maintaining a cash flow is still a challenge for their business.
All businesses come with challenges and it’s up to the entrepreneur to find solutions to overcome them.
