Nishka Mehta has always been interested in art and has been drawing since she was nine years old. At 21, the artistic entrepreneur was running a fully fledged online business, ‘Art Beat’ that promoted affordable, customized art. Nishka hasn’t looked back ever since. It’s fair to say, with the accolades under her belt, that she has redefined hand-made art in the city. The artist has single-handedly designed 200 types of products, painted the walls of OnePlus’s head office, doing a workshop with Britannia, and decorating the Runnr’s office, amongst many other feats. She says, “I have begun selling my work to patrons across the country, and hope to open a stand-alone store very soon.”

A bored endeavor, an interesting journey
Art Beat was started completely out of boredom says the enthusiastic entrepreneur, and goes on to say, “I had no clue what to do post graduation and decided to paint. Four years down the line, it’s the best decision I have ever made.” However, the artistic journey wasn’t picture perfect. Nishka says that it’s not easy to educate people on how unique the process is to develop each product. She simply thinks that some people don’t understand it, but she’s grateful for the group of people who gets the process.

Paving the way for thousands
The creative entrepreneur now aims at getting into a physical store, which she believes will be a lot easier for customers to see the products. Promoting the language of art is very essential in this day and age, and Nishka does a very efficient job. We commend the entrepreneur in making a successful business and paving the way for thousands as well. Her bold moves have gotten her to the place she’s in now. What have you achieved with boldness?
