The Mane Man In The Country When It Comes To Beards

Despite living in a generation that accepts trends, whichever way they come, bearded men was the trend that took everyone pleasantly by surprise. Trends come and go, fizzling out soon enough. However, the beard club has never been just a trend; it has slowly become a medium that unites bearded men from different religions, race, and creed. Started by Vishal Singh, in June 2016, the beard club does a lot of offline activities with its members; like socialising, bike rides, organising events, outdoor adventure activities as well as raising funds and awareness for men related health issues.

Not to forget, despite starting and being a part of an all bearded men’s club, Vishal Singh and the members are supporters of women’s rights.


The triggering point for change

Vishal happend to be the kind of guy that has read every book, but ultimately decides to write his own novel. From working in hotel management to fitness centres, call centres to promotions, sales to event management, the man has touched base successfully, everywhere. Being a Mumbaikar, his passion for food even led him to start his own fast-food joint in Jaya Nagar selling drool worthy food! However, according to him, life had other plans for him, enticing him to start his own event management and social media company after which he started The Beard Club in 2016.

Vishal says, “I had worked under somebody for years and realized my potential is much more than that. The sick period between jobs got me thinking and that’s when I decided never to work for anyone, but myself.”

Other existing ventures

Apart from The Beard Club, Vishal also does events and is the social media manager for various brands. A model coordinator too, he even does some modelling on the side for brands associated with men’s categories like Beardo, PN Rao, G-shock, Jameson, etc. They also have their own merchandise and will soon be launching an all-new superhero collection with beards and tattoos!

Some parting advice

A man that has ventured into numerous industries and then to be his own boss, Vishal believes in giving some strong advice to upcoming entrepreneurs. In his opinion, one simply has two choices, “Shave & Get that Job, or Beard & be the Boss”.
