Cracking the Code of Cryptocurrency

in Entrepreneur by

Are you an investment addict? Do you feel the need to be able to easily track your investments every day whether it’s in mutual funds, the stock market or cryptocurrency? Wish there was an amazingly designed app to make tracking your crypto investments a whole lot easier? Stop wishing and say hello to Crypto Price Tracker, India’s first cryptocurrency price tracking app that gives you investment alerts and helps you single handedly manage your investment portfolio easily. It helps you track prices of cryptos from over 19 exchanges, set price alerts, and manage your various portfolios with the quick click of a button.

The techie behind the tracker

Before Crypto Price Tracker, Harshita Arora was designing and coding apps all day just for fun and practice. She was searching for an idea for an app that would help her get started with something real. After researching on many ideas and different industries, a new redesigned and better app for tracking crypto prices was something that was lacking and that piqued Harshita’s curiosity. So, as predicted, she went ahead and built it!

“I never thought I’d be an entrepreneur,” confesses the brilliant but humble app guru. “I just wanted to design and build softwares.” Looks like Harshita was bitten by the tech bug at a very young age. She says she started reading Paul Graham’s essays a few years back and it then struck her that building something (software in Harshita’s case) that people wanted can be a very meaningful and exciting thing to do.

“My biggest inspirations are my mentors”, says Harshita. Some of these mentors include Danielle Strachman, who, Harshita says, is probably the most valuable mentor she’s had for some time and considers her to be an amazing person. She’s had more mentors for programming that she’s specifically grateful to have had. “I usually get good ideas when I read a lot and talk to a lot of people about their problems and things that annoy them.” Like not having a super awesome investment tracking app, we suppose? Harshita also gives credit to her family for constantly supporting her throughout her app designing journey.

I’d say focus on learning skills and getting experience building stuff and products. The knowledge of entrepreneurship alone won’t be enough to actually build something that disrupts an industry.”

The future of this futuristic entrepreneur

Harshita says she has no plans of stopping with just one app. And why should she? She proudly admits that she has received a few acquisition offers and she is pitching to more companies in the crypto space. She will also soon be interviewing with billion-dollar tech company Apple for a feature as well. She says that once her app is acquired she will likely be done with it and move on to greater things. She is currently enrolled in a bunch of courses for learning ML and is studying alongside. She hopes that her next venture will likely be something in AI (artificial intelligence).

The tech tycoon leaves us with some bold words of advice to others who are looking to start something fun and futuristic of their own. “I’d say focus on learning skills and getting experience building stuff and products. The knowledge of entrepreneurship alone won’t be enough to actually build something that disrupts an industry.” Harshita says that in order to be able to specialize in something, whether it’s web development, app development, AI, AR, or anything else, you need to be an expert in that particular field. “Expertise in a field will help you understand the ins and outs of the product you are building and the market you are serving.”
